Frauenkirche, Munich

4.1
The enormous, 15th-century Frauenkirche can hold about 20,000 people. It stands as a symbol of Bavaria's capital city and features a rich collection of artwork from the 14th to 18th centuries. In the nave, you'll find Gothic stained-glass windows and the tomb monument of Holy Roman Emperor Louis IV. Be sure to look for the curious black mark resembling a footprint near the church entrance. This "devil's footprint" survived World War II bombing. You can ask locals about the legends surrounding it. For views of Munich and the Alps, you can climb up the church's 99 m (325 ft) south tower. • The two towers stand out from the distance, the frauene church of the symbol. The ceiling of the church is also very high and bright inside, but there was a feeling of pressure a little because the pillars were lined up on the center side.

  • Two towers of twins of this sacred structure are visible from afar. A little unusual architecture, as it seemed to me even resemble minarets. The cathedral itself is just huge. It is a pity that it is difficult to estimate the whole thing, as the area near the building is very limited. The decor inside is quite ascetic, a special impression makes a colonnade with a soaring crucifix and graceful stained glass windows.

  • This is another gigantic building in Munich. The side adorned with magnificent sculpture and glass craft. No entry fee. You will find people sitting in the pews stirring at the elevated cross of Jesus at the centre. Its amazing really
  • The iconic double towered church that is a signature of the Munich skyline. We didn't go up the tower, since we had already gone up St. Peter's and were towered out, but it is still beautiful to marvel at the inside with its lovely chapels, then take a few selfies below the towers.
