Once a Roman circus, Piazza Venezia is now one of the city's busiest thoroughfares and historic centers. Visit the square to admire Il Vittoriano. This massive, pantheon-style marble monument is dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II, united Italy's first king. Climb to the top for a different vantage point of the plaza's architecture.
