Itsukushima Shrine, Hatsukaichi

4.5
A World Heritage-listed Shinto temple, Itsukushima Shrine remains best known for its red torii gate, "floating" on the surface of the Inland Sea. The shrine dates back to the 12th century and has undergone several reconstructions over the ages, most recently in the 16th century. Admire the scenic shrine building, which is at its most picturesque at high tide, when both the gate and the structure on stilts appear to be floating on the sea. Take a relaxing walk and explore the surroundings, or enjoy the view from a boat cruise. • Itsukushima Shrine after a long absence was under construction and I couldn't see the entire torii gate. I was able to get a seal inside. The building was mysterious and i was able to get power.

  • Itsukushima Shrine has a completely different expression at low tide and high tide. My recommendation is Itsukushima Shrine floating in the sea. I'd recommend that you go after checking the tides.
