Pay a visit to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, a significant Shinto shrine known for its thousands of red and white plum blossom trees. • I visited here for three consecutive holidays in November. It was very crowded with the tourist season of autumn leaves and Shichigosan, but it was a very calm place. The autumn leaves were not progressing very well, but next time, I would like to visit when the autumn leaves are a little more advanced.

  • The god of learning who was unspeakable. The day I went was not crowded than I expected. Free parking is available on site, which is a great place to stay. I came back with a family request. There were a lot of seals, too, and I was lost.

  • Shrine for success in study and plum blossoms. I visited here in mid Jan and was very happy to find some plum blossoms were already in bloom. Very big, beautiful and elegant shrine.
  • A must in the list. Popular with students who pray there for success in exams.
