Step into Akiyoshido, a large cavern housing a number of interesting rock formations and a mysterious, otherworldly atmosphere. A prominent feature of the local karst landscape, the limestone cave has an entrance 24 m (78 ft) in height and 8 m (26 ft) in width, though the cave reaches 100 m (328 ft) in width and 80 m (262 ft) in height inside. Punctuated with a number of naturally carved works of art, the cave has become known for its terraced limestone pools, underground waterfalls, and streams. • The shopping street at the entrance was lonely and the exit was lonely, but as a cave, it is a large and worthseeing cave. I think the 1200 yen admission fee is quite expensive personally. The course is long and I don't feel like coming back from either side. It seems to return by taxi or bus, but it costs money, so it is necessary to consider it beforehand.

  • The climate is always 17 degrees and is easy to spend. Summer is cool! It is warm in winter. It is well maintained and easy to walk. However, there are some parts that are wet with moisture, and because it will be walking for more than 30 minutes, sneakers are good. There was a tourist information center at the entrance to Akiyoshi-dong, where the bus stop is located, and there was a locker there. 【Highlights】 Anyway, it is a magnificent and impressive cave. It is very recommended as a sightseeing spot. Because it is a single road, it will return to the same road when i go back and forth, but i think that it is good not to do the round trip because there is a feeling that a similar scenery continues. 【Time】 Use time is less than 40 minutes on foot to the exit. This time is one way, so it should take twice as long to go back inside. There are announcement corners for explanations. It might take a little more if it is all firmly done. The announcements are in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean. 【How to get to】 We came to the entrance of Akiyoshi-dong by bus. There was a taxi at the exit, so We took a taxi to Akiyoshidai. There is no round trip, and the distance is about one meter. However, it becomes a fine slope, so it seems to be especially hard to walk and to move. The bus time is about one hour, so check the time of the bus on the way back to work. [Souvenirs, etc.] Summer orange soft ice cream that was at the entrance is recommended because it is delicious.
