Backstreet Osaka Tours, Osaka

My wife and I arrived in Osaka after a great week in Tokyo last April and had booked this tour for the first evening. So glad we did. We met friends we are still in touch with and got a great insight into this fascinating city. We were shown the most “dangerous” streets in Japan’s most “dangerous” city including the red light district and “illegal” gambling dens alongside the bright lights and entertainment that Japan is famous for. Never felt safer but excited throughout. We mingled with the locals in bars as well and tasted some great food. Will definitely return to Japan, and Osaka. Such a friendly place - and not as expensive as it is made out - if you know where to go! Next time we’ll go on the pub crawl with Andy. Thanks, mate. Keep it going Jim & Annie

This was one of those experiences that are held for a lifetime. Andy displayed a deep and intuitive knowledge of Osaka city. Forget all that the tourist guidebooks tell you about Osaka. This guy knows his stuff. From back alley eateries to hidden red light districts. Not only do you get to see the side of Osaka that is unknown to most but Andy’s knowledge of the history and subculture in those areas can serve as a class of its own.
