Trip Planner: Asia / Japan / Kanto / Tokyo Prefecture / Tokyo / Shinjuku / Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings
Catch sweeping views of the city from one of the two public observation decks at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings. Completed in 1990, the postmodern building designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange references a Gothic cathedral. Inside, the governing bodies for the entire Tokyo metropolitan area have their headquarters. At 202 m (663 ft), the building's observation decks each contain a cafe and souvenir shop. One of them stays open late, providing glittering views of the skyline on clear nights. the view is great. You can see many places, but unfortunately i came during a rainy day, so the view is not very satisfying, but I believe the view from this place must be very beautiful during a clear day. Definitely gonna come back. It's free tho! you just need to patiently wait in line. Even if I can't really enjoy the view at the moment, but I can enjoy do eye-shopping there since there's a shop and cafe as well.

But here I am after taking an elevator up to the 45th floor Observation Floor. It is a cloudy day but nonetheless, very eye popping and my once in a lifetime experience. Now, on to discovering other sights of Shinjuku...
