Long regarded as a gray and traffic-congested provincial town with little tourist appeal, Pristina today possesses a youthful vibrance and a newfound sense of sophistication, as the result of the city's large community of foreign functionaries.
Get out of town with these interesting Pristina side-trips: Gracanica (Ulpiana & Gracanica Monastery) and Mitrovica (Miner's Monument, Zvecan Fortress, &more). And it doesn't end there: get your bearings at Pristina National Library, pause for some photo ops at Statue of Mother Tereza, make a trip to Bill Clinton Statue, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Katedrale Nënë Tereza.
