Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.

London, UK to Tokyo is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 9 hours traveling from London to Tokyo. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from London in March; daily highs in Tokyo reach 17°C and lows reach 7°C. Do some cultural sightseeing at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street. Osaka Museum of Housing and Living and Tsunami and Storm Surge Disaster Prevention Station will appeal to museum buffs. Traveling by train from Hiroshima to Osaka takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and flight. In April, plan for daily highs up to 23°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 8th (Wed) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

Kyoto is just a stone's throw from Osaka. In April in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 11°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to travel to Ichinoseki.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Daibainengezan Enzu Shoho Temple, examine the collection at Stone and Kenji Museum, appreciate the views at Geibikei, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Motsuji Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Chuson-ji Temple, and finally see the interesting displays at Sakenominzoku Culture Museum.
