One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Changgyeonggung Palace and Seoul Museum of History. Gyeongbokgung Palace and Grevin Museum will appeal to museum buffs. The adventure continues: admire the masterpieces at Seoul Arts Center, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongeunsa Temple, get a taste of the local shopping with Myeongdong Shopping Street, and examine the collection at Trickeye Museum Seoul.

Hamburg, Germany to Seoul is an approximately 17.5- hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of train, tram, and flight. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Korean Standard Time, which is usually an 8 hour difference. In August, Seoul is a bit warmer than Hamburg - with highs of 35°C and lows of 27°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
On the 5th (Mon), enjoy the sand and surf at Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, Head underground at Manjanggul Cave, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Seonunjeongsa Temple, and finally walk around Jeju April 3rd Peace Park. Keep things going the next day: get outside with Hallasan.

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
