Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Get some historical perspective at Senso-ji Temple and Kōtoku-in. Do some cultural sightseeing at Imperial Palace and Odaiba District. There's still lots to do: admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, don't miss a visit to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings, admire the striking features of Tokyo Tower, and explore the world behind art at Tokyo National Museum.

Mexico City, Mexico to Tokyo is an approximately 16- hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly; or do a combination of bus, taxi, flight, and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Mexico City to Tokyo is 15 hours. In April, Tokyo is a bit cooler than Mexico City - with highs of 22°C and lows of 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) early enough to travel to Miyakojima.

We've included these beaches for you: Yonaha Maehama Beach and Sunayama Beach. Get outdoors at Hora Gyoko no Hama Beach and Nagamahama Beach Coast. It doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Tomori Imugya Beach and head outdoors with Toguchi no Hama.

Fly from Tokyo to Miyakojima in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Tokyo in April, with highs in Miyakojima at 29°C and lows at 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) early enough to travel to Ishigaki.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Take a break from the city and head to Yonehara Beach and Sukuji Beach. Get some cultural insight at Cape Hirakubozaki and Ishigaki Yaima Village. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Kondoi Beach, see the vivid underwater world at Kabira Ishizaki Manta Scramble, take in the views from Nagurao Bridge, and visit Ishigaki Port Ritoh Terminal.

On the 15th (Wed), contemplate the long history of Itsukushima Shrine and then head off the coast to Miyajima. Getting from Ishigaki to Hiroshima by combination of flight and train takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: fly; or do a combination of flight, bus, and train. Traveling from Ishigaki in April, things will get a bit cooler in Hiroshima: highs are around 22°C and lows about 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) so you can take a train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): hike along Mt Shosha hiking. Keep things going the next day: take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, explore the historical opulence of Himeji Castle, then steep yourself in history at Yoneda Taishiji Temple, and finally take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura.

You can take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) so you can go by car to Iwami-cho.
