A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Get some cultural insight at Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse and Harimizu Utaki. Step off the beaten path and head to Yabiji and Ikema Ohashi Bridge.
