Montreal, Canada to Tokyo is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Montreal to Tokyo is 14 hours. Traveling from Montreal in June, expect a bit warmer with lows of 22°C in Tokyo. A popular destination for Japanese tourists, Kumage-gun Yakushima-cho is a true paradise for nature lovers, with over 1,900 species and subspecies of plants.
Get outdoors at Yakusugi Land and Tachudake. Step off the beaten path and head to Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley and Mt. Mocchomudake. There's more to do: admire the sheer force of Oko no Taki Fall.

Kick off your visit on the 11th (Tue): steep yourself in history at Itsukushima Shrine Torii, then kick back and relax at Mikasahama Beach, then head off the coast to Miyajima, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Misen.
