Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Escape the urban bustle at Riserva Naturale Monte Soratte and Antica Torre - Riding Ancient Rome. Get some historical perspective at Pantheon and Colosseum. There's much more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona, steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill, delve into the distant past at Forum of Augustus, and make a trip to Roman Forum.
