Tivoli is a town and comune in Lazio, central Italy, about 30km east-north-east of Rome, at the falls of the Aniene river where it issues from the Sabine hills. Start off your visit on the 4th (Sat): delve into the distant past at Villa Adriana, tour the pleasant surroundings at Villa d'Este, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Parco Villa Gregoriana. On your second day here, get outside with Cascate di Trevi nel Lazio, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Monastero Di S.Benedetto, and then see the interesting displays at Civico Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Anticoli Corrado.
