Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sat): explore the ancient world of Colosseum, then steep yourself in history at Foro di Augusto, then take a stroll through Trastevere, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Pantheon. On the 27th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at St. Peter's Basilica and then wander the streets of Rome Historical Center.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Mon): wander the streets of Cannaregio, explore the activities along Grand Canal, and then admire the striking features of Doges' Palace. On the 29th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to St Mark's Campanile, then don't miss a visit to Saint Mark's Basilica, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of St. Mark's Square.

You can take a train from Rome to Venice in 4 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train, flight, and bus; or drive. While traveling from Rome, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Venice, ranging from highs of 56°F to lows of 44°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Tue) early enough to take a train to Florence.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
On the 30th (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, then get great views at Piazzale Michelangelo, then get engrossed in the history at Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence, and finally examine the collection at Uffizi Gallery. Here are some ideas for day two: get to know the fascinating history of Piazza della Signoria, then indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, and then examine the collection at Galleria dell'Accademia.

Traveling by train from Venice to Florence takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Venice in November, expect nights in Florence to be about the same, around 46°F, while days are a bit warmer, around 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Thu) early enough to take a train to Rome.
