Visit Pantheon and Palatine Hill for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Rome side-trips: Orvieto (Pozzo di San Patrizio, Rocca Albornoziana, &more), Museo Geologico e delle Frane (in Civita di Bagnoregio) and Civita di Bagnoregio (in Bagnoregio). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Trevi Fountain, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santa Maria in Trastevere, contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, and walk around Giardino di Ninfa.
