Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
On the 11th (Sat), take an in-depth tour of Ishigaki Yaima Village, then get outside with Yonehara Beach, and then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, then kick back and relax at Akashi Beach, and then take in panoramic vistas at Tamatorizaki Observatory.
