Create an itinerary including Bastogne War Museum
Gain a better understanding of World War II in Belgium at Bastogne War Museum, where artifacts are laid out like artwork in large galleries. A modern building houses the remnants of battles, such as weapons and uniforms, as well as photos and documents. Other displays recreate areas where battles, press conferences, speeches, and even espionage took place. These theatrical spaces include lighting and sound, helping to immerse you in the history. Multimedia film and mixed audio that reconstructs that sounds of war bring the stories to life. The attraction is next to the Mardasson Memorial, so consider stopping there as part of your tour of the area. Buy tickets when you arrive and take your time with each exhibit; the musuem is rarely crowded. A visit to Bastogne War Museum represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Bastogne vacation maker app to plot your vacation.

  • Very interesting museum which gives a lot of information concerning WW2, especially the Ardennes-region (North of Luxembourg/South of Belgium).

  • Extremely powerful museum. So much detail in their interpretation boards accompanied by some very poignant objects. The interactive sections were also hard hitting but excellently achieved. Recurring visitor in me for sure.
  • High quality museum. Tons to read and see, some very cool artifacts. They also make it personal with stories and interviews with survivors. They say a minimum of two hours. We spent three there and skipped one of the feature videos because I was interested in watching the small interview videos and reading more.
