Create an itinerary including Museu Nacional De Belas Artes
Although Museu Nacional De Belas Artes wasn’t inaugurated until the 1930s, its primarily collection dates back to the early 19th century when King John VI transferred part of the royal collection from Portugal. The museum now houses more than 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, and prints that follow the art history of Brazil and of the Portuguese colonials. The building is also home to the National School of Fine Arts, which looks after the valuable artwork hanging on its walls while still using it as a tool for students. • A nice inexpensive experience to spend a few hours doing. Not many well none painters, but a brazilian painter by the name of Pedro Américo has some great pieces. It was loud due to the employees talking amongst one another, never seen so much chatter, very unprofessional.
  • Worth a visit if you are in the city for a couple of days
