  • The statues inside are incredibly beautiful, I wish I were allowed to take pictures of them. The outside grounds are quite pretty and peaceful as well.

  • Simply amazing place to a glimpse at a moment in time with those statues. Couldn’t take any pictures inside. Pretty amazing history on each one of the Buddhist deities. Something created in the 12th century and in great condition. Bought a couple of nice souvenirs and would highly recommend to anyone in Kyoto.
  • This shrine should absolutely be on your must see in Kyoto list. The signs had English translations and the grounds are beautiful. Worth the entrance fee. Photos are not allowed inside the building but even the ones that I saw on google images don't do it justice. Very captivating experience. Shoes must be removed prior to entering building. We also bought a lot at the small gift shop.
