Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, Kandy, is a wonderful place to visit. The entrance fee itself is very reasonable. However, the garden is huge. It should 146 acres and trying to take in the whole garden in a single visit is a gargantuan task. The layout is wonderful and so pleasing to the eyes. The varieties of plants is simply mind boggling. It has a large collection of orchids as well as a rose garden. It's visited by a number of foreigners who, I noticed, were looking at plants and taking down notes. Obviously, they are bidding botanists in the making. They also have buggy carts to take people around the gardens (at a very reasonable price). It's helpful to those who find it difficult to walk the winding and beautifully adorned paths. A lot of thanks to the Department of Agriculture who have taken the trouble to look after three garden with such care and love. A word of thanks is also due to the workers who daily water, prune and maintain all those plants and flowers. All in all, a place worth a visit!

Beautiful landscape and a wonderful place to spend some time with family and friends. Recommended for your special occasions photography. Every season of the year is beautiful in certain ways not only the flowers, the place and the trees gives a nice view.
