The most eastern part of the country, Volta Region breathes with greenery, natural wonders, and a laid-back spirit. Your vacation will likely be defined by the area's vivid towns and villages, long stretches of sandy beaches, views of the highest mountain in Ghana and the Atlantic Ocean, and perhaps a hike to the famous Wli waterfalls. Temperatures here range from 20-30 C (68-86 F) throughout the year, however consider visiting between March and October when the weather is bearable and refreshingly rainy. From October to March the dry season takes over, and visibility lessens because of dust and dirt blowing in from the Sahara.
