Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Get some cultural insight at Colosseum and Piazza Navona. Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel will appeal to museum buffs. Take a break from Rome with a short trip to Villa Adriana in Tivoli, about 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at St. Peter's Basilica, explore the ancient world of Forum of Augustus, make a trip to Roman Forum, and admire the landmark architecture of Pantheon.
