Rome — 3 nights

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Get some cultural insight at Museo Storico Piana delle Orme and Via del Corso. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Church of St. Louis of the French and Castel Romano Designer Outlet. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rome: Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica (in Ostia Antica) and Riva di Polline (in Trevignano Romano). The adventure continues: take an in-depth tour of Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini, steep yourself in history at Campo de' Fiori, stop by Antica Caciara Trasteverina, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Clement Basilica.

To see other places to visit, photos, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Rome trip builder.

If you are flying in from The Netherlands, the closest major aiports are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport and Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 16°C in February, and nighttime lows around 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
