Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.Museum-lovers will appreciate Vatican Museums and Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia. Your inner history buff will appreciate Colosseum and Piazza Navona. Get out of town with these interesting Rome side-trips: Tivoli (Villa Adriana & Villa d'Este).
