Create an itinerary including Natural History Museum
Natural History Museum houses one of the world's largest collections of natural history specimens. Here you can see 70 million specimens in the fields of botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology, and zoology. The vast collection makes it impossible to view everything on one visit, so consider a few of the highlights. You can choose from dinosaur skeletons, fossils, taxidermied specimens of large mammals, and artwork featuring exotic animals, among many other displays. Whichever exhibits you put on your list, make sure to include Treasures. This exhibit features specimens that the museum selected from its exhaustive collection for their scientific, historical, aesthetic, and cultural importance. You can visit permanent exhibits for free, but temporary exhibits have an associated fee. • Huge hall, very impressive. Quite interesting sections, well organized. Worth a visit. Located in a beautiful zone, only a few steps away from the bus stop.

  • Lovely place and highly educative. You can easily spend few days inside if you're a museum lover. Red zone is a must explaining volcanoes and earthquakes, earth's crust, human evolution should not be missed. Better to give the dinosaur exhibit a miss if busy. Wildlife garden is a definite miss. The new block - Darwin Centre's Cocoon, where there were more innovative and technologically advanced exhibits, was surprisingly quiet.
  • A beautiful museum for kids and adults. Never gets old. You need a minimum of 4 hours, if you just want to visit main areas (with a break in between). Lovely cafe with a variety of sandwiches, drinks and sweets. Lifts available for easy access to higher floors. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout the museum. Make sure to book your free ticket online, as sometimes there aren't walk in spaces specially on busy days.
