Surrounding a glacial lake, Green Lake Park features landscaped lawns and scattered trees that reflect off the glacial waters. The park was part of the 1903 Olmsted Plan, which aimed to create interconnected green spaces throughout Seattle. Set out on the dirt footpath or the two-lane bicycle and stroller path, which stretch the 4.5 km (2.8 mi) perimeter of the lake. You'll see soccer games, Tai Chi classes, and other outdoor activities in the park's open spaces. At the community center, take a dip in the outdoor swimming area, or visit the bathhouse that has been converted into a small theater venue. A nice walk around the lake that is fairly flat. There is a tree ID map on the park website. Good restaurants close by and interesting home architecture around.

Beautiful park for everyone!! Nice place to see fall colors. It’s an awesome place with beautiful lake and with lots of trees which is having nice color. Wonderful place if you want to see the magical colors of fall. Along with the colors and surrounding here kids can also enjoy with some slide and swings. Only this week will be nice to see the fall colors otherwise all the leaves will gone . First time I was here and will try to go on every fall to see the beautiful colors.

The most relaxing place on planet earth in my opinion. I could spend my life living and exploring this area and its melting pot of fellow citizens and communities. But on those beautiful sunny summer days there is no place on planet earth that I would rather be than picnicking with my family at the lake kids playing in the wadding pools throwing the Frisby around and climbing the over 100 species of different trees, renting paddle boats and roller blading around that lake. There are not that many places left on the planet that are as peaceful and authentic as Green lake in Seattle WA!
